Station
Cars was formed by four owner/drivers who were becoming
increasingly disillusioned with the taxi trade and the image
it portrayed to the general public. They were all in search
of a fresh alternative with better prospects and an improved
customer service.
With
this in mind Station Cars was born and opened for business
on November 4th 1996. Over five years on, the business is
still expanding.
The
company commenced trading from its headquarters at the Stationgate
shopping parade (opposite Laindon rail station) with a fleet
of 15 vehicles. It now has a fleet of over 40 vehicles including
saloon cars, estate cars, wheelchair accessible vehicles
and minibuses, and over 60 drivers.
Since
the early days the business has been technology orientated
and uses a purpose built state of the art booking, despatch
and accounting system to maintain high standards of customer
service and efficiency.
In
the year 2000, Station Cars was delighted to receive
a business award in recognition of its excellent customer
service after being runners up for the previous
two years.
With
sound policies in effect, the business has shown over 300%
customer growth to date and currently deals with over 5,000
journeys per week.
As
a business that is always looking for ways to improve our
service and satisfy customer demands, we look forward to
the future.
